We need to get Green to the Mainstream new home builders. We're able to "Tell time every day" (at 12noon) with a perfectly sited passive solar home. Shady in Summer, Sunny in Winter. In NAmerica - face South. In SAmerica - face North. Properly orient to True S, plan overhangs, superinsulate. Take advantage of PV incentives if in the budget, run conduit for future if not. No more blindly orienting new homes "square to the street" (unless the street is E-W)! Think first, build 2nd!
